We will not disconnect or charge late fees for customers who can’t make a payment due to impacts caused by the coronavirus. Customers will continue to receive bills and past-due notices, but Cascadia Water will not send a final shut-off notice and disconnect service.

About the company

Cascadia Water was formed on November 2, 2018 through the acquisition and combination of Lehman Enterprises, Inc. and Sea View Water, LLC on Whidbey Island, and is a wholly-owned subsidiary of NW Natural Water Company, LLC.  Since then, Cascadia has closed on the acquisitions of Estates & Monterra Inc (Olympic Peninsula, April 2019), Del Bay HOA (Whidbey Island, November 2020), Discovery Bay Village (Olympic Peninsula, September 2021) and Pelican Point (eastern WA, October 2021). Cascadia Water operates out of Whidbey Island, and now serves more than 5,000 people through 1,800 connections.

Notice of Cascadia Water's UTC approved new rates

On June 28, 2021, the Washington Utilities & Transportation Commission (WUTC) issued Order No. 01 of Docket UW-200979 addressing the rate case filed by Cascadia Water on December 8, 2020. The first phase of new rates took effect July 1, 2021. 

The second phase of rates took effect December 1, and will be reflected on the January 2022 billings for Whidbey Island customers (November [old rate]/December [new rate] usage) and will be reflected on the February 2022 billing for Olympic Peninsula customers (for December/January usage).

The third phase of rates is effective June 1, 2022 and the fourth phase is effective December 1, 2022.
